Hi there, friends of the International Appalachian Trail

The Spanish International Appalachian Trail (SIAE) and Mirlo Positive Nature will be launching a crowdfunding campaign next week, in order to fund the launch of the International Appalachian Trail in Spain. The SIAE has been studying the route for some time now, and now it’s time for the action to begin. Mirlo is keen to offer its support to the SIAE in order to generate more positive environmental footprint projects and at the same time, to grow its community of people who are determined that their lives should leave a positive footprint on the planet.

With the funds we raise, we are going to carry out a detailed evaluation of the route that runs between Leon and Gijon and crosses the Picos de Europa mountains, a region of Spain of outstanding natural and cultural value,  so much so that it has been declared a National Park and a Biosphere Reserve. Three people will spend a month walking the trail, checking out its viability from the logistical point of view, and identifying positive environmental footprint projects that can be carried out in the area.

Help us make this a reality. The first days of the campaign are vital if we are to achieve the financing we need.

If you wish to make a contribution, we would like to ask you to do so during the first two or three days of the campaign, and that you send information about the campaign to five or ten people you know who might be interested.

We will be launching the campaign next Monday, the 14th – we’ll send you the link.

We hope you’ll want to help, together we can make it happen!

Many thanks.

Ruth (SIAE) and the Mirlo Positive Nature team
